Then how come the only other human that was at that base with her wasn't affected yet? Whether or not he was her father or guardian or whatever is besides the point. He seemed to be unaffected by the virus she was carrying. I'm assuming he was the one taking care of her so he'd have to be around her.

shareIf you notice when people start getting affected by the virus they start to have a nose bleed.
Nova had just had a nose bleed when they found her and tried to talk but couldn't so it looks like she was only recently affected and it hadnt yet spread to her father.
She was also isolated. Which is probably why he hadnt got it.
