The spaceship

I wonder if they'll be a flash forward a few thousand years at the end to when the Earth ship crashes with a confused crew wondering where they are.

Probably not though as this installment looks very final unless the makers want to show a future Earth ruled by apes as a satire on the 21st century.

We've already seen that movie.

As a satire of the 20th century - not the 21st

Good point.

I would like to see Donald Trump wrestling an Orange Utang. 'The future of the Earth is at stake - with the winner taking all'

It's gonna be huuuuuuge!

Maybe a post credits scene?

Whatever you are, be a good one.

reply

Yes it could. Of course it wouldn't have the same impact as the original film so I hope they're going to be creative

This reboot is a cash cow for all those concerned. The 'Planet of the Apes' movie won't be happening for yonks. I'm predicting at the earliest this Mars crew returning to Earth will be the 6th movie in the franchise.

reply

Unless they more faithfully adapt the novel, I don't think I'd care for another "remake." This series will likely do its own thing and keep the focus on Caesar.

The spaceship in this reboot series was going on a mission to Mars.

No interstellar long distance travel / time dilation involved.

I'm not sure why people keep expecting this ship to re-appear in the far flung future of this series. It would make 0% sense.
