Who Narrates?
Have been trying to find out name of person who does the narration on this ID series but can't seem to. Anyone know?

Thank you! I was coming to see if it was the same guy who voiced "City Confidential", but it isn't.
shareYea,I thought it sounded like Paul Winfield from City Confidential too,but I,m not even sure if he,s alive.
Illigitimi non Carborundum
The narrator definitely reminds me of City Confidential, although I don't think he's reminding me of Paul Winfield's narration, but the guy who took over after Winfield died.

It sounds like he's doing an imitation of Paul Winfield's City Confidential narration. A bad imitation. It's not just the voice, it's the style of the delivery. Winfield was a great narrator, and I really miss City Confidential. The narration was the show.
In Murder Comes to Town, however, the narration ruins the show for me...I just can't watch it. If the narrator would just quit doing the bad imitation of Winfield/City Confidential, the show would be fine.
He sounds a lot like the guy who used to narrate City Confidential on A&E. But he died so that solves that.
shareYeah, I've mentioned that he reminds me of the "City Confidential" narrator--but NOT Paul Winfield, rather the guy who took over after Winfield died.

No, he definitely sounded a lot like Paul Winfield. Keith 'Frank above the beans' David took over and is not so similar.
Both Alaskey and Winfield speak really slowly and, especially Winfield, slurred! Like they're drunk, drugged or have had a stroke! Really awful - but they're both dead now.
Steven Mackintosh is 'absolutely' the best narrator for serious documentaries. Alaskey and Winfield were terrible!
Narrator creeps me out
shareThe Narrator is the very best narrator for this kind of show. He has a naturally creepy and unusual voice which really works well for this kind of documentary they couldn't have found anyone better. It just works. He should get more work doing this kind voice over.
WTF? Sounded like Vincent Price, sedated - maybe he was actually dying and on morphine. Steven Mackintosh is a real narrator.
shareI'm watching the final episode Joe Alaskey narrated now, Prints of Darkness (2016). He passed away from cancer in February 2016. I saw the show had a brief on-screen tribute to him.

I know it's Joe Alaskey but I had to look it up because he sounded just like Willem Dafoe to me! Lol
