She couldn't deal with the chronic pain.
No It doesn't explain why Nina was in chronic pain. But it seems it was the reason for her suicide.
shareMaybe, maybe not. People kill themselves for all sorts of reasons. Sometimes the reasons aren't clear at all. Sometimes it comes as a total shock to all who knew the person. We assume Nina's suicide was due to living in chronic pain because we know she was in a chronic pain support group. But that's not a given by any length. We have no idea what else was going on in her life. In the end, however, it really makes no difference. Knowing her reasons wouldn't change the story in any way.
