Did Joe actually just want to be with Danny??? Or did he actually ever do anything with the boy?? You can't convict someone for their feelings!!!
shareNot taking up for Joe--but it was all an accident--Danny was hit by Tommy when he accidentally swang oar at Joe--Neither would have been charged if it was reported when it happened and they both just told the truth!!
But defiantly a lot of explaining to do @ 3AM by all parties involved!!!
clearly he was attracted to him and in Broachurch Joe flat out murdered Danny to keep him quiet about what they had been up to together.
Of course Fox Network had to sugarcoat a child murder/potential molestation making it all look like an accident. If Fox wasn't willing to do down the dark lane they should of never recreated the series for the US. Waste of 10 episodes.
