Could Mark Ruffalo have played Mark Solano?

I dunno if it's because I think the actors look alike or are just similar, but I could see him in this role too. Perhaps more convincingly with facial hair though, so maybe it's good they picked Pena.

I think it may actually be a voice thing. Maybe I need to see Ruffalo in more than just Zodiac though.

I wonder if Ruffalo could do Pena's role in Observe and Report! I've always wondered what possessed him to do that. Just wanted to try something different I'm guessing!

That wasn't Mark Ruffalo in Criminal Intent, it was Vincent D'Onofrio

Both are good actors...I think Vince D'Onofrio is better (and his character, Goren, on Law and Order: Criminal Intent is one of my favorite characters ever), but both are quality.

Mark Ruffalo is 5 foot 8. The only time he's huge is when he's the Hulk :-)

Ruffalo is a much better actor, so yeah, probably.

A tree could have played Mark Solano. Michael Pena was totally wooden.
