Why Gracepoint Isn't Getting Awards for their Show

I'm sorry...but this television show was a joke. There's no way in hell anyone or thing was getting an award nomination for this show for the following reasons

1. It was the lowest rating television show on TV at night.

2. The writing was horrible at the beginning, was mediocre in the mid season and horrible written ending which brings me to...

3. The Ending Was Just So Random. Nothing leading up to the finale indicated this ending except the last episode.

4. The Cinematography of this show ..I wanted to scream at the director and ask WHY! Looked very amature style to a trained eye ( I study this stuff ).

5. The main character detective. She was next in line to run as the head of the department until the other detective came to grace point. However through out the whole season, she would do so many screw ups and was very nice to everyone and not checking things out because "they aren't like that" just amature things that I'd say " she was about to be in charge?"

Those are my 5 reasons this show doesnt deserve an award and the list goes on...

The orginal is better ive been told. "Broadchurch". season 2 starts in january.

Well low ratings don't always equal no award noms. It can also go the opposite-high ratings don't always equal award noms(NCIS case in point)
Many shows have been nominated because their peers or critics like the show. It doesn't always translate to the ratings. This also definitely goes for films. Look how many Oscar noms there are for films people have not seen or don't like.
As for Ellie-remember small town, no murders, child she knew dies. That kind lends itself to the story.

Your number 3 is spot on. Ridiculous... I could have made it anyone by just giving the last episode the clues, confession etc.
