I have suspected Tom from the beginning, but it was quite obvious when Joe was "revealed" to be the killer only 15 minutes into the show that he was covering for his son. I wish the writers had tried a little harder to shock us.
The only thing that really threw me for a loop was the fact that Joe was a wannabe pedophile. I never saw that one coming.
Is Joe a pedophile? Perhaps. Perhaps not. Why did Danny sneak out to mean a grown man? Did he have a "crush" on Joe? Did Joe make the whole scenario up to protect his son?

Tom definetly knew more then he was letting on. At first I thought it was the priest, but half way through I knew he was protecting his dad
I think he is protecting his dad. The scene where Joe meets Danny at the cabin cinched that for me. I think Tom came on to Danny and a fight ensued. Danny ran off and was gravely injured in the process. There is more, much more. Unless Joe left his job as an EMT because he was his proclivities as a perv, were coming out being interested in Danny like that makes no sense to me.
