When compared to other shows in America. I thought Gracepoint was great. One reason why they remade Broadchurch. The Shows in America are so bad. they needed all the help they can get.

For a remake, it was very well done. I've seen both Broadchurch and Gracepoint, and have enjoyed each of them equally. Most TV in America is crap! I am incredibly thankful for services like Hulu Plus and Netflix for showing me that there's some incredible TV from other countries!

how can it be cancelled? It was supposed to be a mini series. Wth?

...and I am just going to have to feel this way until I DON'T feel this way ANYMORE!

It was only a mini series with no plans for a second season

That's not true, that's just a false assumption some fans made. The cast and crew have talked at length about the plans and preparations made for Gracepoint season 2.

Gracepoint is Broadchurch and Broadchurch is getting another season so it's not a surprise there were plans for a Gracepoint 2nd season.

American viewers don't have the patience to watch a show like Gracepoint which is a shame. It's also the reason why they keep giving American audiences crap shows. The American IQ has been severely lowered by so-called "talent" shows and "reality" shows. The powers that be know that whatever crap they dish out American audiences will gobble it up so why bother with more expensive, quality TV? 

The arrogance of man is thinking nature is in our control, and not the other way around.

Well they couldn't do a 2nd season until Broadchurch had aired series 2, which has only just started

Given the interview a new exec at Fox gave this week, if Gracepoint ever gets commissioned for a follow-up, it won't be Fox broadcasting it because he views it as a failure.

So would another network or a specialty channel pay for it to have a follow-up -- maybe as a one-evening movie rather than a 10-episode mini series. Plus will they be able to get the same cast back?
