Having binged the entire "broadchurch" series in a matter of hours, i found it cringeworthy to watch this trailer.
Everything feels "plastic"! I know that if i had watched this one first, it would feel diffrent but still...
Anyway, to the point, is it worth it, for me to watch this show? As i loved the original!
Having experienced the same letdown after having enjoyed the much better acted/directed/cast/shot Broadchurch, we are trying our damndest to resign ourselves to this joke of a re-do. Maybe just for the pleasure of getting to spend a little more time with David Tennant, or maybe just out of morbid curiosity to see how badly they could ruin a perfectly good story, we're watching Gracepoint until it gets to be too much. Let's see how long we can take this Americanization (hot young reporter wearing skimpy clothes whilst working on her computer vs. average-looking journalist in no-nonsense outfit just doing her job, for example). Oh, heck, we may just end up waiting for the second series of Broadchurch to soothe our offended Anglophilic sensibilities and be done with it.
