Detective Sargent John Wadsworth
A police detective of 23 years would not be so easily taken-in by a blackmailer, nor would there be any heat-of-the-moment missteps of murder or rushing into action to try and retrieve the photos, especially when he had the blackmailer "back on his side" without having to spend a penny. 23 years on the force means he would have access to techies who are computer savvy, who could get him her passwords, without him having to divulge his reasons for wanting them. 23 years as a detective, with a boss who is somewhat of a friend, means he could tell his boss about the details of the blackmailing, in confidence, insisting he would like to resolve the situation without "kicking the hornets nest." The very worse case scenario is she sends out the pictures as promised, but by then he has recorded her admitting to drugging and blackmailing him, and all recipients of the pictures would know they had been staged.
And to top it all off, the pictures were comical anyway. If they were of the pedophilia nature, or if they contained other adults "performing" with him, then that would be trouble.
