DEWEY!!

RIP. All it wanted to do was to help get some tasty cookies for his master. Should've taken the AI or personality out of its corpsed body to transfer into anew.

This movie was so bad. They could not even figure out a way to work any other actors into it, just car headlights.

I'm just at that part where Jeff was stealing from a locked cabinet full of goodies then had to make an escape because Finch got spooked by humans and is now hiding under the bridge after they threw off the headlight stalker. No comment on if the movie was bad or not at the end but so far it seemed okay. Not bad but not great either. Making Jeff as humanely as possible to look after Goodyear when Finch goes kaput was already a crazy idea. I'm just wondering what Jeff's purpose/function would be after Goodyear passes since dog years go by quick.

reply

Yeah, I wondered about that too? What is Jeff supposed to do all alone, or with a dog companion?

You know ... that would make a better movie than Finch actually.

reply

Ugh! Couldn't stand Jeff near the end. In like a couple of days he acting fully human-like which reminds me of that Chappie movie that for some reason annoyed me as well. The mannerisms and walk is like some hiphop artist.

I'm just surprised it took Finch THIS long to finally decide to travel since food was already so scarce and UV rays intense yet he waited 'till he was pretty much on his last legs before doing a bucket list. Guess he really wanted to finish that robot so he could waste it on the dog.

The plot after reaching San Fran is that they travel a bit, dog eventually dies after constantly playing too much ball fetchin before getting run over by that same car they outran awhile back, Jeff is hopeless as he was programmed for that sole purpose to take care of Goodyear, ravagers eventually surround him and tear him apart for spare parts (those eyes make great lenses). The End.

As normal you are your usual ray of sunshine! ;-)
Yeah, I got the Chappie vibe as well. I like Chappie though. This movie just sucked though, there's not two ways about it. No one just whips up an AI that never existed before in their workshop.

reply

Finch was far away from his lab and he knew he was dying.

reply

^^ This

All of his computer equipment was back there, couldn't be taken along, and is probably destroyed, if not inaccessible.
