Emotionally manipulative and depressing.
... sounds like my idea of a good time. Who's got the pop corn?
What's next, kill him and his grandmother while they run the red lights, too?

You missed the point bud. This is not a popcorn flick. It's a very intellectual film that kids will learn some heavy hitting lessons from. This is a film that pulls no punches and If you can't see the brilliance in this film and think it is just "depressing and manipulative" than I am sorry that you missed the point of the film
shareLOL
The "point" of the film is to earn money for the studio which produced it. Duh. And yes, manipulative and depressing was a correct assessment by the OP.
They manipulated people into paying for it, then manipulated them further with the story, then depressed them, and in the end, the audience members were oh so appreciative and read much meaning into it.
Not only that, but some of those people even end up here, defending it when someone finds faults. Double-LOL!
You got played, hommie!
LOL, trolls, why have you not improved?
shareManipulative?
All movies manipulate your emotions. Comedy makes you laugh, horror makes you scared, whatever.
Depressing?
Thought-provokiNg, perhaps. Moving.
Hey, xander cage is back from the dead in the new XXX movie. That sounds like more your kind of thing.
