Life is NOT beautiful...

... and whoever says the contrary has never had to watch a loved one slowly and painfully die in front of him.

Actually, life is neither beautiful nor ugly, simply absurd and senseless. Nobody should ever have to go through such an experience as depicted in this movie and the fact so many have to is proof enough to me that there's no such thing as justice, karma, truth, meaning, right or wrong.

Nothing makes sense, we are merely entangled in a lukewarm cosmic soup of tragic happenstance and cold randomness that humans have only learned to bear thanks to illusions and myths, an unexplainable dose of resilience and a healthy sense of humor.

How else do you explain all this? And by this, i mean everything, the tragedy happening in this movie and in the real world, the happiness, the suffering, existence, everything. It can't make sense and it simply doesn't.

Thoughts? May you agree or or not, of course.

PS: I was lucky enough to never have to go through such an ordeal, but as i grow older, i get more and more afraid of it.

People who don't like their beliefs being laughed at shouldn't have such funny beliefs

Yeah, I feel that's what this movie touches on so well is that with adulthood comes way more tragedy. I also admired how it hits on why we tell stories and how those stories help us get through tragedies as well. I lost my dad when I was young and as I grew older it was movies that really taught me a lot about life.

Trying to create a channel based on interpreting, reviewing, and even giving you something to laugh about film. Hope you enjoy what you see. Thanks in advance.

You have gone now OP, but how I'd like to shake your hand, give you a hug, and tell you how I agree with everything you said. Sometimes it doesn't pay to think too much about the 'meaning' of life !!
