So it's basically a remake of Joe Somebody?
Maybe not in plot but I see this movie playing out in exactly the same way.

shareOr maybe 3 O'Clock high but with the TEACHERS fighting instead of 2 students.
shareTrue but I believe the fact it's two adults completely changes the dynamic. Which is why I believe it's more like Joe Somebody as the movie plays on the fact it's adults and fighting is something two professional adults shouldn't or even know how to do.
shareIts more like 3 O'Clock High than Joe Somebody for this reason: THE TENSION, time is running out fast and he is being forced against his will into a fight.
In Joe Somebody the wimp challenges the tougher guy to a fight but the tougher guy though a bully who intimidates him is not the one insisting on the fight so the wimpy guy is the one in control of when and where the fight happens. The villain in Joe Somebody was so overconfident he was fine with letting his victim dictate when and where the fight would be giving him time to train in martial arts first.
But this has the tension of 3 O'Clock high. Not only is it a school with the fight being after school there is a scene where a big guy (probably hired by the wimpy guy) threatens the evil teacher (Ice T) and gets beaten up. That is clearly a mirror to the scene in 3 O'Clock high where the wimp kid hires a tough football player to put the bully in his place and the bully easily beats him up.
Plus Joe Somebody was a DRAMEDY, kind of funny but kind of sappy. Like 3 O'Clock high this is a comedy flat out.
That's what I was thinking!
shareMore like a wholesale rip-off of Three o'Clock High.
