I know back during the Kickstarter, they boasted him among others as starring in the film, but I see no mention of him elsewhere, or on IMDB. Same with Henry Silva.
...but with Z'Dar's death, I'm curious if we get the pleasure of seeing him one last time or not.
No he died before he got to film his scenes.

I don't think that's the case. In their Facebook feed, I just watched a video from Matt Hannon saying they finished principal filming in January.
I got confirmation from Matt Hannon that he won't be in the film because he was scheduled for later shoots outside of the primary filming and died before he could shoot. Shame.
