Low budget film?

CGI are bad. Even tv shows have better effects than this.

No CGI. This film has all practical FX.

And yes, funding was barely scraped together with a Kickstarter fund. I doubt anyone was even paid.

Check out the directors resume, he's not generally a Director, but a Special FX guru on many a kick a$$ Sci Fi and Horror films.

There actually was some cgi, just not really in any of the creature fx. I kind of wish there was though because the practical effects were weak as hell. Rob bottin would probably be pissed if he saw this movie.

The professor's back mutating was obvious CG, and there were plenty of other instances of CG in the film, so saying the film is "no CG/all practical" would be inaccurate. I still applaud the filmmakers' use of mostly practical creature FX. ---It wants no straps. - Karlhttp://www.imdb.com/board/bd0000024/nest/158601447

Nope, you should watch it again, the scene you mentioned didn't have CG (maybe some digital composition), it's all practical, and as far as I saw there was little to no CG other wireremoval and greenscreen composition (which isn't really CG)..

Sorry, is this the same guy who said the "Russian" chick wasn't wearing colored contacts? ---It wants no straps. - Karlhttp://www.imdb.com/board/bd0000024/nest/158601447

reply

yea I was wondering about the colored contacts. What was the point of those. You could see their spherical shape during a lot of the ugly closeups they did of her. And they did a lot for some reason.
