A few questions

The movie had a great general story but the pacing and most everything felt off. I still liked it, but it just didn't connect. A few questions:

* After extracting that guy from Mexico they were already quickly ushered through security and then waiting in traffic. How were there a couple cars with dudes with guns there? Why would the wait until they're past the border check?

* How did Kate know the crooked cop wasn't just a cop? That money band he pulled out of his pocket? Seems a bit of a stretch, no?

* Why did they have to use a tunnel to get Al into Mexico? And how did they know the drug transfer was going down right then?

* And probably related, how did they know the guy would be there with his black Mercedes?

Thanks!

1) The prisoner had been detained by Mexican authorities for some time, and were waiting for American law enforcement to bring him to the USA...This gave the Cartel time to have gunmen set nearby the border to take the prisoner, and American personell out (keep in mind the Mexican Federales escorted the American team to the border, but not at the border - so a border hit was most likely).

2) That rubber band that was in the cop's pocket was unique, and the same were found on the 'Smuf' - the woman who was caught depositing $9 K in numerous bank accounts - she had a duffel bag with $$$ bound up by these very same rubber bands.

3 & 4) Al used the tunnel as it was a covert mission, and he just happened to stumbled upon the guys (Mexican cop, and worker) while entering the Mexican side of the tunnel, and used the cop as bait to pull over the black Mercedes (remember they were watching the Mercedes via a drone)...If I recall - the guy in the Mercedes, and the boss in the house were cousins, and both were top tier members of 1 of a handful of Cartels that are distributing drugs in the USA, and responsible for murders/kidnappings.
