Movie shows that in places like Mexico, Columbia etc. have narcotics infused with their economy?. Mutilated bodies hang from flyovers, Is it that bad in real life?
How much of this is fiction? - Movie 'City of God' was based on real events.
Just read about Juarez. I've never been there but yes, I believe it is that bad in real life. In 2010 they had about 3500 homicides. In one year. It is apparently not quite that bad anymore (down to "only" about 400 homicides per year), but still pretty damn bad. Finding decapitated bodies and things like they show in the movie are not that uncommon there.
