Decent movie but...
It is like %80 love story, %20 horror. I think they just have upped the terror aspects of it more because once you kinda get what is going on it neuters the movie.
Worth checking out thou just on originality.
I think they should have had it end up being that she needed to consume him or something and was playing him the whole time. I was actually starting to suspect that she was lining him up for something like that but it didn't happen.
As others have pointed out, it's pretty unrealistic for a woman that old to fall for some guy following her around like a lost puppy. She probably went through this many many times with the same reaction from the men she seduced. Think of the guys back in the day writing her poetry and painting her, etc. She didn't fall in love with any of them.
I also thought the whole town would end up being in on it. Like she was the local monster eating the occasional tourist.
Yea.... it seemed like their was some kind of sub plot that I would have liked to unsurfaced further.
