So it's not the same at all.
Vaguely similar idea but the premise and the execution are completely different! This one focuses more on the romance instead of the science and history part and though I agree The Man... is intellectually more challenging, the acting in that is outrageous whereas here we have real chemistry between the two.
But there was also romance in Man From Earth. The one woman who believed him was willing to give a relationship a try.
