Yes it's a megaflop

Poor US and - a little surprisingly - Uk business.

After seeing the trailer and clips I decided to give a miss as I couldn't even raise a smile.

Borat was hysterical but this just looked flat with telegraphed jokes. A pity. Perhaps a Saturday night in with the lads and plenty of beer will help me appreciate it more when it's out on DVD.

It's better than anything thing hes made since borat. Even if I watched borat today I highly doubt Id enjoy it as much as tbg which I saw earlier today. What excactly didn't yoy like about it its an entertaining funny 90 minutes.

I've seen plenty of clips and I couldn't even raise a smile - and the clips always include highlight so God knows what the rest of the film was like. But I'm glad you enjoyed it.

reply

Too bad, it looks funny though.

I personally think it's a real shame that this movie's flopped financially. I think it's mainly the critics that signed its death warrant and put people off from seeing it. The movie certainly isn't for everyone, but if you're the kind of person who enjoys or isn't offended by this kind of humour, you'd get a kick out of Grimsby. Everyone I've spoken to who has seen it enjoyed it, and everyone in the theatre I saw it in was constantly cracking up.

reply

Well from the clips it just didn't appeal to me. I preferred his more documentary style humor where double standards were constantly being exposed. But it's good that some enjoyed it.

Perhaps a Borat style character should visit the UK.

People don't much bother with reviews as much as watching teasers and trailers. People saw those and stayed the ƒ( )ck away because it's more than obvious the film is garbage.

Your whole post is garbage

It's a shame. I've thought all of his work has been phenomenal. I'm sad it crashed.

reply

Your first instinct was correct. Stay away from this unfunny mess.
