Worse than Freddy Got Fingered

Well done, SBC, you exceeded Tom Green's ability to make a trash movie.

reply

Well now I really want to see it.

Sadly, I agree. I had such high hopes for this film. I thought the casting was spot on. Mark Strong playing it straight opposite Cohen. Instead it was quite literally painful watching Mark having to give up his dignity like he did in many scenes. There was zero comic genius that was evident in, for instance, the bull ring speech in Borat. Instead we are served up unfunny, crass and, quite frankly, disgusting humour. Such a shame.

Freddy Got Fingered is a classic in my view. I really hope that this film is in the same league.

Classic like The Room is a classic?

The Room was a train crash... I couldn't look away, but it wasn't enjoyable. Freddy Got Fingered was funny. Well, I thought it was funny, but I like Tom Green.

Suit yourself...

You're not alone, i loved FGF too. In terms of gross out humour, it does it perfectly.

LOOKING FORWARD TO:
-The Irishman

So we have an aesthete among us. Wow.

Considering Freddy Got Fingered was one of the funniest movies I've ever seen I'll have to go see The Brother Grimsby tomorrow. Thanks for letting me know.

FGF is a comedy classic

Freddy Got Fingered was insane and amazing. This didn't quite reach that level of insane, but it was really funny and much better than people are saying. If you liked FGF you'll probably like it.

Hmmm...no...I disagree!

Indeed, a lot of the "jokes" in "Grimbsby" were very far over the line!

I watched "Grimsby" at the movies last week and almost no-one laughed for instance at the "AIDS-jokes" that are in the movie!

Some of the other stuff that was in there was also very far over the line (like the "poison sucking scene" or the "elephant scene"). But...somehow...it was just funny as hell :) People laughed at it very loudly at the movies!

With "Freddy Got Fingered" however, almost all of the jokes from the very start were really too far over the line and just not (really) funny.
I switched the movie off after about 20-30 minutes when Tom Green started to nibble at a navel cord!

To me...Tom Green is just really not as funny as Sacha Baron Cohen!

However...I like Tom's scenes in "Roadtrip" with the snake "Mitch" a lot and some of the pranks he did during his 90's TV-show (especially the ones with his parents!) I found to be quite hilarious!

A movie I really didn't find funny at all...and hate quite a bit...is "Movie 43"!

FGF was hard to get through and once was torture enough! This movie, however was a lot of fun.

You ready? Here come the pain!

I can't go that far with it but I do agree that both represent this very miserable, angering perception that this is what offensive comedy should be. This stuff was tiresome when Green was doing it (which I why that movie bombed hard for everybody except the few people who think it's subversive but have no idea what that word means) and it's just sad that SBC, a guy who once would totally challenge people in his subversiveness, is now just doing something that any mental patient, 5 year old, or sadist could come up with.

And if anyone is interested in a review for this movie- https://youtu.be/ceyUSWVCp80

Trying to go for an informative, and hopefully something people think is funny, youtube channel so hope you guys like. Thanks.
