Struggling to get through this...

However this was my favorite franchise as a kid, and as a matter of honor I have to. I have tried about 5 times unsuccessfully over the past year. Any tips?

I can only recommend that you try and watch it in 2 or 3 parts, over separate sittings. Just like the other 3 God awful sequels, this method will unfortunately not make this one any better either, but it will make it just that little bit easier to finally get through to the end.

Take breaks when you watch this movie. Maybe every 45 to 60 minutes.

It will take longer to watch but it's horribleness will be spread out and not as insufferable as one sitting.
