That wasn't Unicron. It was a shattered Cybertron being brought to Earth because Optimus appears to have gone bad like Sentinel Prime.

That was ABSOLUTELY Unicron. And the reason he goes bad, noted by the purple optics, is because he is infected with Dark Energon. AKA the life blood of Unicron. The trailer all but confirmed that.

the synpases states that he found cybertron and it is destroyed so he comes to earth because there is an artificat on earth that can restore cybertron but of course thats a lie its obviously going to turn out that what he found was actually the remains of unicron and that the object will repair his body. some speculate that hopkins plays the human form of Unicron
