My only REAL gripe with all the films

When certain main characters die off, it's like no one even cares. Sure there's some very VERY minimal mentioning of them, but it's like Optimus doesn't even give a crap. Yes there's certain things in all the movies that we can nit pick but this is one thing that absolutely bothers me the most. When prime was about to finish sentinel prime off, he shoulda mentioned something about ironhide. Didn't have to be anything cheesy but at least acknowledge him. Am I the only one whose bothered by this?

That's the only time Optimus didn't react to a friends' death. He did it for Jazz and Ratchet.

Yeah barely. I'm not saying have a funeral for them but I feel like once their dead they just kick them to the curb.

Not barely. In TF1, he showed real "emotion" over the loss of Jazz, even carrying his remains off the battle field.
In TF4, upon seeing Ratchet being melted down, he shouted "They slaughtered Ratchet!" and stormed KSI. Earlier, when Cade hacked the drone and showed the ABs the footage of the Wreckers being killed, he said he would break his vow to never harm humans, and would kill whoever was responsible.
When Ironhide was killed, there was too much else going on to weep for a fallen comrade, and when he did kill Sentinel, he had to do so too quickly to give any remarks about Ironhide, plus Megatron was right behind them, ready to fight.

Plus, in the final battle with Sentinel, he did make a quick remark that Sentinel betrayed himself, implying that he betrayed everything he ever stood for. I'm pretty sure that includes killing fellow Autobots.
