shareOh oh member when transformers was celebrated and had lovable characters and not a cash grab
shareIt's always been a cash grab, buddy. Right from the very beginning as a toy line, Transformers was made to sell the concept of robots changing forms into objects, mainly cars, motorcycles, planes, and tanks. This is no exception.
shareOh oh member when we were kids and didn't bitch and moan about everything? Member when we watched a stupid toy commercial masquerading as a TV show and didn't realize we were being manipulated into buying merchandise? Member when we would swallow every single stupid thing that happened in that show? Member not losing our *beep* at the sight of an American flag? Member when we could just kick back and just enjoy all the cool robots and not act like the world was getting dumber because of it? Member when the sight of a samurai robot would make us squeal in delight instead of putting us in a heated debate over whether or not it's racist? OH *beep* I need more Member Berries here, someone please give me more!

Yeah, I remember Transformers being a celebrated franchise but it was over after the 1986 movie. After a few high points like Beast Wars, Transformers was more of a niche until the 2007 movie made it a popular and celebrated franchise again.
