Can these movies please stop being about humanity threatening events???
Honestly, that's WHY they're so terrible. The first film was basically just robots fighting in the city. It wasn't amazing but it was fun. From there on it's all been about subjecting humanity to events that would likely in real life wipe the human race out or possibly destroy the planet. And then robots save the day. Furthermore could they stop selling it as plausible?
Look I know these movies are sci fi and sci fi in general doesn't make sense. Star Wars has elements like The Death Star but they sell themselves as fantastical space adventures and they make the threat of your planet being destroyed in seconds a main part of the story, plus there's actual stakes with the characters being humans.
THERE'S NO STAKES WHEN THE THREATS ARE ROBOTS. If this were just robots with no humans then it would be alright but these films try so hard to be life changing human tales that they fall hilariously flat.
