sharereal reason is probably she wasnt very interesting character so they had to remove her. but that kid saying in trailer "i am going to stay, and fight them" also doesnt seem very interesting one. its ridiculous, she is a kid, what can she do? other new character seems more interesting which is played by actress from Da Vinci's Demons
its good though that they are going for diversity, adding new characters. some old ones are coming back. Josh Duhamel is back and its great but i guess him being in film rules out Anthony Hopkins playing older Witwicky. there was a theory that he might be because there was no name of character Hopkins was going to play but it is now so that theory is ruled out
i just hope that he is not playing a villain like all other great actors in previous films. its becoming a pattern now. there was no prominent human villain in first film if i remember correctly and people seem to think that first one was better than the rest
