shareWhy have ANY of them in the films? There has never been any rhyme or reason for choosing the characters, and they have never had any specific impact on the films. Why Sideswipe? Why Drift? Why anyone?
Edit: Guess I should say something to reflect the point of the thread... I think they should go with Judd Nelson. 99% of the characters in these films have nothing to do with their original counterparts, other than having a recognizable name. Give Nelson the speaking role and you instantly have the second-most liked character of the franchise.
Edit 2: OMFG, it's the French guy after all. Why??????? If they're not going to make him look like Hot Rod or sound like Hot Rod then use a different friggin name!
