The first one is the only good one
And even that's just decent

Maybe you should consider the fact that nobody wants to hear your negative comment before you post it "buddy boy"
shareAh ha, the babies crying because he doesn't know how to direct a film.
shareYou need to read more intellectual movie discussions if you want to really find people who are Bay fans. Like these:

I think Transformers and The Island are decent films, the rest not so much buddy boy
shareBad Boys, The Rock, The Island and 15 Hours are pretty decent flicks, especially 15 hours
shareI like the first movie but it's the second worst after Revenge of The Fallen. The story is paper thin, the autobots don't even show up until an hour in, the humor that so many people utterly despise in Transformers 3 and 4 is just as prevalent in that movie, only worse. Say whatever you want about the humor in Transformers 3 and 4, but at least Bumblebee isn't "pissing" on anyone or getting pissed on by a dog. and at least everybody keeps their pants on in Transformers 4.
Transformers 3 and 4 are the best so far, I have no idea how anybody can say the first one is the only good one. 3 and 4 had way more interesting stories than just chasing a magic rubik's cube. The Autobots got way more screen time and personality, the tone was far more mature, the humor was toned down significantly and Optimus Prime actually gets a character arc in Transformers 4.
Honestly, I'm a little disappointed that no one ever took their pants off in TF:AoE.
It was a great gag in all the other movies and OMFG Tessa's shrinking shorts were soooo close!
Man, I was just WAITING FOR IT the whole time, lol.
And, technically, Bumblebee was lubricating Simmons and Mojo pissed on Ironhide (which itself was a great G1 callback plus video game reference!), so that's not really accurate as criticism goes. So obviously I've enjoyed the humor in ALL the movies so far but I'd generally agree that the TF:DotM and TF:AoE represent high-water marks for the Transformers getting interesting story arcs and character development.
I often feel that the 07 film had a bit too much intelligence to be a Bay film.
My feelings were that Spielberg had a hand in some of the story elements, as despite it being quite noosy, there were some general moments that still stick in my head after all these years.
I was eager to see where they would take it...and then they made ROTF which felt like it was more of Bay being in charge than Spielberg, with how incredibly loose and ridiculous the plot got.
Of course, trying to build a solid through-line of plot for a Transformers film, is like trying to do so for the Resident Evil films. Each film in these series just seems to save a few themes, and jettisons most logical bs.
"Thanks, guys." "So long, partner."
- Toy Story 3 (9/10)
ROTF was written too quickly because of the Writer's Strike.
"Too intelligent for a Bay film" would mean the first movie is on par with Metropolis or something. A typical Bay film is loaded with enough visual symbolism and satirical subtext already.
Age of Extinction was the only one that comes close to being "good".
