There Is Something Fishy About These Boards Shutting Down

This excuse of these boards not providing a positive useful experience is sounding like BS. There is something else going on. I have and always will appreciate both sides of opinions whether they agree with mine or not, but too many websites want only positve happy go lucky circle jerk conversations and when they don't get this they destroy their social interaction. ESPN and The Huffington Post both did this. Some people say that Youtube's comment section is downright vile at times and I agree that it can be but at least they allow for true freedom of expression and I hope they never change their posting rules.

There have been too many bullies and too many spam posts.

Have you come across any of the threads where someone posted 20 pages of the same one word subject? It's ridiculous and the *beep* have to ruin for everyone truly interested in movies. I've been on the IMDB since 1999/2000.

Too bad they don't just ban people's ISP address. That would solve the problem.

Bullies? Honestly, what the f *ck is a bully when it comes to $h!t that is posted anonymously on the Internet and there is an available ignore button? It is this kind of thinking that has brought rise to a POS like Trump. Too many people are overly sensitive to too much BS.

IMDB works as a giant commercial. And it's really hard to sell a product if there is a lot of negative reviews.
Once they get rid of everyone who has an independent opinion they can present a more unified front and get a better streamlined message to the consumers.

One flaw in your conpsiracytard theory is thinking a business that makes a ton of money can't survive with negative reviews. Did you really think your review or opinion ever had any importance? Opinions are a dime a dozen, businesses can buy them like candy.

reply

It's not like there is a couple of bad reviews. there are almost nothing but bad reviews.

I've seen several movies with 8.0 scores before the it opens in cinema. When people actually see the film it drops to 7.0. When it's released on the internet the movie usually reaches about 6.0 and have hundreds of bad reviews and hundreds of bad commentary.

Now, as a consumer. Would you rather buy something that has an 8/10 rating or something that has an 5/10 rating.

Hello plant. Toeing the corporate line I see, like the gutless piece of shıt you are. Take that stupid looking mask and shove it up your ass.

Selling out to the movie studios, and as a result cutting back on free speech? Lame.

You still have free speech, You just have to practice it somewhere else.

Doesn't IMDb have to pay bundles for bandwidth? I think dropping all the forums is over doing it, but let's face it there are a lot of movies on here with their own individual message boards, and no one ever posts anything.

Hollywood is about to go full-propaganda. Can't be having the commoners discussing things that might make them understand what is going on. If user comments are not allowed, it's propaganda plain and simple.
