How horribly is this censored when it airs?

I watched it all on Netflix and the amount of swearing and nudity was almost at HBO levels. I'm not sure what channel this on but if it's an American one I can't see this being watchable when it airs unless it's a network that doesn't cave to pressure from worthless watchdog groups who won't watch it anyway.

How badly is it butchered on TV?

it's not generally. I know for certain there's been fully uncensored episodes airing on el rey. it's on cable and that's allowed, it's just up to the network. just like comedy central used to air "secret stash" uncensored movies.

Robert Rodriguez owns the network that the show airs on, soI would assume the Netflix version is the same as originally aired.

This show was nasty, over the top violent and really lacked taste. It's too bad because the brothers are really good actors, but I couldn't watch past the episode they got to the bar. It was grotesque. True Blood (HBO) wasn't close to this level of languuage and violence.

You should have seen the original movie this "nasty" you call is based on.

The reasons you hate it are literally the reasons most of us love it! That's what FDTD is all about. It was never meant to be an elegant, gothic Victorian, romantic version of vampires (We've seen that so many times!) The original films tagline specifically makes fun of that stuff. "Vampires. No Interviews." I mean, it's a story about criminals, thieves, murderers, by all means, monsters, clashing with literal monsters that eat people. The Fuller's were the only characters that represented goodness in the story, everything else was just about evil vs. lesser evil and which evil will win?
