S3E6 Question

Spoilers for S3E6 - kind of

So at the end of both S1 & S2, Richie wants to separate from his brother. However in S3E6 shadow-Richie/possessed-Richie will not leave without Seth and believes that two geckos are better than one, which I find kind strange and interesting at the same time.

I loved that part though. It's sweet that even when possessed, Richie still cares for his brother. Also, shadow-Richie mentioned that "Seth is the key". I wonder if that has a deeper meaning. Will Seth be the key to something or did Richie just say it just to convince Amaru to take Seth with them?

They are brothers. At the end of the day they stick together, cause the world is dark and family is best for these days. The shadow-richie is just his dark emotions/side who calls the shots, he still loves what he loves but it is more twisted on the edges.

Richie saw into the endless void/wonders of "Xibalba"(however that is written), his mind is scrambled at that point in the story, if he is the key to defeat the wicked witch/goddess of the West or will play a keyrole for the bad guys we don't know. Shadow-Richie could even play a goddess, cause he was bold, he took decisions and didn't need to fight his different emotions coming up, cause he just did what he wanted with no regard for humanity, reason or logic. Which doesn't mean he could not plan things, he just didn't care about the consequences.

"The end is not the end, but for the beginning an end is always near."
