It's kind of sad that they never got to reconnect, I think they really did care for each other and have a bond. Also sad that Kate died.

Never fear, she's back with a vengeance in season 3! And yes, I agree, they had great chemistry before and may yet get another chance this season!

I really hope they play up that relationship in season 3. I was really disappointed to see how little they were used together in season 2

I always liked Kate and Richie together! The ultimate bad boy and the preacher daughter!

Hell yeah, me too. I'm ignoring the creepiness of it, but I think they had chemistry from the word go, and they have hinted at it occasionally over the seasons - more so than with Seth anyway.
They have certainly aged her up a bit this season too, looks wise. I wonder if that means anything, or if it's just the old 'evil = dark and sexy' trope.

I love the chemistry between Seth and Kate, he does care for her even though he only sees her as a little girl. Though the age difference is a bit hard to get around she is 19 and he is 36. I don't think its age appropriate for them to be together romantically but they need more scenes together.

Only one remark:
Madison is 19 years
DJ Cotrona 36 years
Kate currently has 18 or 19 more inclined to 19
Seth in the series should be with 28 or 29 years (he and Richie are brothers and have only 1 year or months apart)

The characters have only 10 years apart, not too much and the chemistry between them is strong, I hope they get together at the end of the series.

their relationship building processis great, slowly and this season seems to be the starting point for something romantic in the future.

..turned red eyed, soul sucking demon possessed demiGoddess. I too wonder if Seth and/or Richie have a thing for Kate: Is it budding hot chick or that he regrets ruining her life as it were. I think that maybe as long as Kate holds on to her hate for Seth & Richie she will not be able to get rid of Amaru.

Ugh, I find the Kate character insufferably boring. I think I'm the only one tho.
