Why does El Rey air censored movies/shows before 9pm?

I think this really sucks for several reasons. One, who exactly is El Rey catering to by showing censored content? Nobody who likes this stuff actually prefers everything bleeped/blurred out. You can't blame the corporate overlord advertisers because other channels with commercials air uncut stuff.
Two, if a movie comes on at 8:55 it will end up being censored.
Too many games for me. I wouldn't waste time watching a censored movie on this channel or any other; not with so many more viewing options these days.

Hopefully, the day they go HD on DirecTV is the day they go uncensored 24/7. We'll see

That explains why From Dust Till Dawn no longer shows nudity.It starts at 9pm.You cannot complain too hard because EL Rey Network does not charge extra as most premium networks (HBO,Cinemax) do.

Maybe they still realize that children may be watching television at that time. You know thinking about somebody other than yourself?

I hate to say it but it's up to parents to monitor what their children watch. Back in the 1990's Bill Clinton passed a law requiring all TV sets to include a V-chip to block unwanted channels and adult content. Besides even if parents remove the TV, children have easy access to adult material via the internet.

Fúçk the children! It's the parents responsibility to control what they don't want them to see, not mine. My rights shouldn't be infringed upon because parents abrogate their responsibility. I'm not their baby sitter.

But this is a pretty violent show with a lot of swearing. Why nudity be a problem? Especially at 9pm
In the uk anything goes at 9pm.

I thought that was Los Angeles and DC. At least that's what your news shows us.
