However....can't watch it any longer in standard definition. I have DirecTV, not shown in HD. Doubt that is going to change. Really sucks because there are good shows on this channel, but I will not struggle watching in standard def any more.

shareI've considered dropping it too. I love the content on the network, but watching the SD broadcast on a large HDTV is brutal. El Rey and DirecTV need to get their *beep* together. It's 2016, it's ridiculous that they are providing SD, especially since you have to pay for an upper level package just to get the channel. At the very least they could provide an HD streaming option through the El Rey website or DirectTV on demand.
