I mean come on..that ending was proof of that. they milked enough of it as they can..though i didn't like how there was no conclusion to what happened to sex machine..although i hate that actor so much š¹
The show can't be cancelled, the show is airing on his own channel.
Robert Rodriguez can make as many seasons as he wants, someday it will end but it won't be because it's cancelled but more likely because he grew tired of it.
It can get cancelled, especially if it has to do with money. From what I've been finding on sites about the show is that Miramax, who owns the rights and they are the ones that make the show might decided not to continue because of the budget. Not only that but it seems Robert Rodriguez was hardly involved during the making of the 3rd season because he's been involved in the filming of some movie. So it's up to Robert Rodriguez, Cox Communications and Univision to cough up some cash so Miramax can continue making the show. I think that's why Rodriguez said that they currently in negotiations with Miramax and they hope to have the answer by early next year. As a way to let the stars of the show go and do other work, they had to release them from their contracts because they're not sure if it's coming back or not. Better to be safe and left them go.
I also agree, the fact it lasted already 3 seasons is only because its on that channel. That's the beauty of it, he can get away with anything, hell maybe even a nasty threesome.
I don't think it will get cancelled but I do think it was a good idea to hit the "reset button" after this last season 3. Now they can introduce new story arcs & characters because seasons 1-3 was like one long story.
I wouldn't mind a season of Sex Machine in hell. With every episode completely surreal. The weakness of this show lies in too many characters with nothing to do. They give them words to say, so that they'd appear involved, but the dialogue and plot functions could be divided between fewer people.
It seems like Seasons 2 and 3 were conceived at the same time, as one extended story arc. If they can't come up with a good place to take it now they should just let it end here. If Robert Rodriguez wants to continue the series I'm sure he can; I mean, it's his own creation, running on his own channel, but at the same time he's under no obligation to run it into the ground if he's not excited by the story anymore.
It really felt like a series finale, not a season finale. I've enjoyed the show a lot but would be fine with that being it. I actually didn't like that little credits tag, insinuating more to come. It doesn't feel like there's more than what we saw over 3 Seasons. But Hell, Supernatural had a God appearing, end of the universe season and resolved it to only keep going LOL! How the *beep* do you top God's Sister causing God to come back because she's destroying creation! Lucifer's now the Antoginist and he was getting bitch slapped from here to Alberquerqie during the God Season.
RE: Dusk 'till Dawn, If it does not come back I hope we can get some brand new genre stuff like it because the show was a hoot! Rodriguez knows how to make this sh!t fun.
What I'm hearing on Dark Horizons a few weeks ago the same weeks as the season three finale is that the show may indeed be over. The contracts have expired or are pretty close and they are allowing the cast to not worry about them expiring and to just go off and do other projects.
As if that's not enough, we may not see a fourth season of Lucha Underground for awhile. The current season 3 won't end until June 2017 so that season is fine. However, talent has been told season 4 won't begin filming until October 2017. So both shows won't be around for awhile. They just signed a big deal with TNT in Germany to air LU on Saturday nights, so what happens if they don't have wrestling on nights they need to show it on? El Rey doesn't show reruns of it in the off season unless it's the week before the next season begins.
