So... Peter was completely unnecessary.

The prophecy said he would save them... and all he did was gesture, and the fairies took him and his guys out. So, uhh, they could've just beat Blackbeard themselves years ago. Without him.

ALL HE DID WAS GESTURE.

(This after leading the enemy to their secret hideout and giving him the key to get in.)

Sure, but someone had to do it. 😁
Seriously though I thought the same thing.

I guess someone had to... but why wait so long for Peter then, they coulda just put a Craigslist ad up. "Wanted: Someone to gesture while we fairies attack our foe." XD

Whether they find life there or not, I think Jupiter should be considered an enemy planet.

A child's belief gives fairies power in Neverland. So only with Peter because he is half human and half fairy, they could do it.

in most adaptations to peter pan. Peter is essentially the guardian saint or god of Neverland. he has power over the Neverland in most adaptations to the point his very absence causes winter to come early and his very presence causes summer to come early

the fairies couldn't fight back without his presence because they had become to small in numbers and weak. once he awakened his power he was able to rally them and give them the power they needed

I sort of agree with that but he was necessary in a way, I didn't like the whole big fight scene, it was not my favorite part. And ya all he did was gestures but he helped by directing them and he saved hook. But I agree maybe they could've made Peter stop Blackbeard and not the fairies. Does anyone wonder why Hook and Peter became enemies, I still didn't understand that.
