Isn't Danny Rand white?

I thought maybe the original Iron Fist was asian, and this is what sparked the controversy. I looked into it and only saw one Iron Fist...Danny Rand...and he is white.. So whats the debate here?

All it takes is some research...I was wondering why the Ghost Rider was latin on the marvel show and RESEARCH explained that their is a latin version named Robbie Reyes

Iron Fist is an orphaned/abandoned Caucasian child who was raised in the ways of Kun Lun and raised to master the Iron Fist. A fish out of water scenario.
