How the HELL can Finn Jones Do Martial Arts Effectively?
If they got Scott Adkins or Ray Park that would be cool...but this dude? This is the best they could find?

shareWIth a stunt man like Daredevil.
I'll take a good actor with no martial arts ability over a good martial artist with little acting ability.
I'm a fan of Adkins and Park, but they shouldn't be Iron Fist. One of them can be Orson Randall if they include him.
Good can not exist without evil. They are two sides of the same coin. Such is the duality of life.
So I take it Iron Fist will NEVER fight without his mask?
That's what you're saying?
No, just that they will use the tools of their trade to make it LOOK like it's Finn doing the moves that are too advanced for him to learn in time.

He usually has the mask on.

Maybe it's easier to teach him kung fu than it is to teach Adkins or Park to act.
Actually, I'm pretty certain that Keanu Reeves didn't know any martial arts before he did the Matrix.
It's hot... but not as hot as the night Johnny Viti got married...
He's pretty badass now tho. *beep* went to his head. i'm expecting him to start stopping bullets on Conan or something
Clever people will recognize and tolerate nothing but cleverness.
He also didn't know how to act either.
shareMask and it isn't that hard. Just hire some of the people that were involved in Spartacus put him through that daily work out. I am sure they had a past martial artist in that crew. Not like the whole episode will be a fight.
While I have no doubt he will be fine with the acting, he definitely needs to bulk up and add quite a bit of lean muscle. He is absolutely too "soft" to do any believable shirtless scenes as this character.

That's what stunt men are for. Geez respect the trade bro.
shareDavid Craradine wasn't an accomplished martial artist when he did the Kung Fu tv series; but, the choreographer, David Chow, was. Film martial arts is all about choreography and rehearsal, just like a dance routine. As long as the actor has the right attitude and does his homework, he can be credible on screen. meanwhile, Hong Kong is littered with accomplished martial artists who couldn't deliver a single line. I noticed you didn't see Ray Park in too many speaking roles, after Phantom Menace, apart from X-Men.
Matt Damon didn't exactly scream badass, when it was announced that he was signed to play Jason Bourne.
Fortunately, Ah keep mah feathers numbered for just such an emergency!
This is a character who is named Iron Fist, his main move is the Iron Fist! Ideally speaking most of his movies should be based around punching and using that ability. Jones should be able to handle that. Lets also not forget he had to learn how to sword fight and joist ideally for GoT
shareIron Fist knows many forms of martial arts. The Iron Fist move isn't something he can do over and over, he has to regain energy to do it.

Stunt doubles like every other tv show/movie.

wait. you mean that there are people specifically trained to fight on camera? all those actors don't become martial arts masters in 3 months? That's insane! [sarcasm tag]
