I really hope they don't pull some quasi-scientific metaphorical "dragon" on us. I want Danny to plunge his fists into the molten heart of an actual dragon.

I wonder if the dragon's heart will already be removed and you have to go through a series of tests to get to it.

That actually seems like something they would do. I'm with OP though, I want to see him fight and defeat the dragon and then plunge his hands into the heart in epic fashion.

He'll probably go through some test and plunge his hand into an alien device/stone/thingy which looks like a heart and mistaken as "the heart of the dragon" cuz asian. Personally I much rather this version, fighting an actual dragon is more DC's thing.

I could see them showing it with Danny telling the story and it is stylized in a animated painting sort of way like the story of the deathly hallows. That way they don't waste the budget on a cgi dragon fight sequence

^Yup, an animated retelling would work really well. However, it would be pretty badass if they pulled off the "real" thing.

I never understood why the Shou Lao's heart was outside its body... That's just weird.
