I would be disappointed if they left Shang-Chi out of the Netflix corner of the MCU. He's too good not to use.

Don't know enough about Shang Chi, but I agree about the race debate, I'm past sick of it. I'mm excited for this, the trailers I saw for it were awesome and I can't wait. I'm also a liberal who's sick and tried of being meshed in with Social Justice Warriors, not all Liberals are Social Justice Warriors, it's just as bad as saying all Conservatives are Right Wing Nut Jobs or intolerant religious fanatics and I know all Conservatives don't act that way. I came here to discuss the show and I have to see this *beep* here?
Have to say, I agree.
I sort of understand the outrage from some that there aren't enough black, Asian, First Nation, female, gay, etc etc etc characters represented out there (although honestly in some cases, the outrage seems a tad...fake).
However I never understood this desire to take a character with a long history in source material and change them just to alleviate this. It feels...gratuitous. Like these various groups are somehow unworthy of having quality source material written for them, so they just recast. I'm more outraged that they don't wrote quality source material to begin with. But I seem to be in the minority on that.
