puts his training as a tool to fight crime
You would be hard pressed to find a superhero that this does NOT apply to.
So basically you are left with this:
Rich boy returns from Wilderness after training in the mountains to find his company stolen and wants it back
Of course you have to ignore that Bruce wayne left for the wilderness when he was an adult. His parents died many years earlier. Danny Rand went missing as a boy. Also, Bruce wayne didn't spend time in a mystical city or acquire any superpowers.
Apparently Arrow also follows this same plot loosely. I never watch that crap so I wouldn't know.
There are many many examples of this trope. In Robin Hood Prince of Thieves, robin returns home after many years abroad fighting in the crusades. He was a rich spoilt boy before he left, and no one recognises him. His comes to claim his title, to find that his father has been murdered by the Sheriff of Nottingham.
I can go on if you want.
