Stephen King, Robert Kirkman etc loved it

They tweeted about it. Great endorsements from people who know what they are talking about. It makes you wonder what critics were thinking.

Saw AMERICAN ULTRA last night, and loved it. Fresh and exciting, very cool. Can't figure out why it isn't a smash.

I have no idea who Robert Kirkman is, but as much as I love Stephen King's book (The Jaunt is my favorite), lets not act like he knows *beep* of movies: Maximum Overdrive was freaking terrible. And his version of the Shinning is *beep* compared to Kubrik's.

Maximum Overdrive was great..

Ditto what kevin said, except that King is a total *beep* writer whose only decent contributions to art or entertainment of any sort come via Kubrick...which ends up being exactly one contribution. So anyone who looks to King for an informed opinion gets what they deserve.

That being said, I am halfway through the movie; so far it could suck worse. I'm not a big fan of Stewart, so there's that, but so far she isn't completely ruining the movie, as I had expected.

Ok, this was the best of all! We need an American Ultra video game!

Kirkman has lost all the love from me. Not even the comic is doing so well anymore and this on top of that - not a positive trend, dude...
