I have no idea why they advertise this as a comedy about a stoner because lets be honest once he is activated you completely forget that he smokes weed for the entire film except one part where he said he is going to die with a joint in his hand. It is just false advertising to try pull in stoners, it really was not funny at all like films such as Cheech & Chong Up in Smoke or Friday etc.

People expecting a funny stoner movie will be sadly disappointed.

I found the movie's humor pretty consistent. The back half definitely plays up the violence for comedic effect.

Yeah, the first act really dragged. I hated how serious the relationship between Jesse and Kristen was played. I felt like I was watching a completely different movie.
