Will this get a sequel?
Here's hoping. This could be the Die Hard franchise for a new generation.

shareThis movie looks like it's introducing the characters and plotlines. If there is a sequel, it will be better. Based on the ending it will feature more of Mike Howell's skills. But just like the Bourne series, Phoebe's character will be useless going forward, like Bourne's Marie character.
Phoebe useless in the future? Possibly but have you seen the extra 40 mins that comes with the purchase? Jesse and Kristen hinted that Max had possibly two more in mind. Of course, that would depend how this does now.
Let's hope we get more.
I dont think a sequel would work very well. A lot of this movie's plot relied on the fact that Mike was just realizing that he was a trained agent and testing out his skills. If you continued this into a sequel it would be the same as any other generic action movie, except with a stranger backstory behind the hero.
shareThat hinders the possibility sure but plenty of box office failures have had sequels. If it finds a following in the secondary markets it could convince someone there's potential in profit from a sequel.
Also if it did come out even the littlest bit ahead theatrically and there were plans at more...the chance is high
