Another moronic person speaking on behalf of all Americans. If every1 liked it so much how come it is rated at a 6.. It wasn't any better or worse than Kingsman. That movie sucked so badly. Shows how stupid you are when making a comment. Probably leave those ones to yourself. Most British films are violent with things blowing up and the same. So what are you really getting at except showing your ignorance???

The point is, Americans are afraid of sex and nudity. Yes I am aware of cable. But if you see a nipple on a major network, the whole country is in uproar. If somebody gets shot or his face bitten off, nobody cares.
Nowadays, if your kids are naked in your own garden, you can get in trouble with the neighbors. Nobody cares however if they run around with guns playing war.

On every movie here on IMDB which has violence and nudity or sex in it, you have a thread like "shame they had to show the explicit stuff". Or when people asking if a film is "safe for children", they always care for sex and nudity. Its never about violence.

Sex and even non-sexual innocent nudity -> good, natural things -> frowned upon
Violence and hate -> bad things -> hey, why not?
That is sick.

I don't know if America is the *only* country. But it is not true for Europe though.
I guess Americans believe that their country is not *that* different from Europe, except, well better of course. When in fact, it is waaay different. Trust me. To be fair, not all is worse though.

It is pretty insulting to have you generalize Americans.
We embrace a standard that includes nudety and violence.
This is An American Ultra message board with such reviews on a film that happens to have a comedic look at the violent action films.
While America does produce Tits & Ass films this happens not to be one of them.
America is a diversified country and respects criticism based on standards realizing our amendment rights.

That's not *all* Americans. There are literally millions of great, wonderful people there, like in every other country. Maybe you are one of them.

We don't have to think you're talking about us personally, to not like what you're saying. You act like you have absolute knowledge of all cultures, yet you don't give your nationality.

The thing you idiots don't realize is that people are 1000 times more likely to be influenced by nudity and overt sexuality than they are by violence. Let's compare the level of promiscuity in America, to how many individuals have committed murder in America? Sure murder occurs, but only a small percentage of people perpetrate it.

That's why sex and nudity are worse, because they affect a large percentage of us, especially over time. I have a daughter and I developed my belief knowing she wasn't going to grow up to be a murderer, but I didn't want her exposed to nudity and overt sexuality.

That's where people with your mindset expose their ignorance or inexperience, because any decent person would have my same concerns, if they were a parent.

First, you need to represent my words honestly. I didn't say "nudity is so bad," I said "nudity and overt sexuality." You must not recognize decency and self respect which are the reasons for modesty.

Also, I wasn't brainwashed and I didn't suffer an oppressive childhood. Anyone with a brain understands my point, but I guess you think it's cool for kids to be influenced by sex and nudity in movies. It's a fact that these liberal views on sexuality influence children, but sadly yours will get the green light.

You're the one that received the brainwashing. The Hollywood/liberal "do what makes you feel good and don't worry about decency and respect, they're for uncool, boring people" brainwashing. That is the message Hollywood has been sending for the last 15 years or more, though the intensity of their message has increased by the year.

The problem is, today we know that most negative things one can associate with sexuality always happen when sexuality and violence come together. Rapists and child molesters play a domination game. It is always about power, not really about sex. Something in their lives went really wrong, but it wasn't that they saw too much nudity.

Do you know that the most rape victims (especially within marriage) live in countries where the laws and "moral rules" about sex and nudity are the most strict? Odd, is it not?
And which organization in the whole world employs the most child molesters? Right, the catholic church. You can't get much stricter about sex and nudity then they are.
Seeing nudity and sex does not mess up children, but teaching them that nudity and sexuality must be hidden and secretive and best should be avoided until marriage definitively does.

Respectful, loving sexuality between consenting adults is a good, natural, healthy thing.
Violence in any form is always a bad thing.
And the earlier children learn that, the better.

Just wondering...
Have you lived in the U.S.?
If so, have you lived somewhere that is not NYC or in the so-called Bible Belt?
If not, you don't know Americans, how we live, our belief systems, or what movies we like or dislike.

The difference between the two above is like the difference between night and day. Even the difference of NYC residents and the residents outside of the so-called Bible Belt but not in a large urban environment greatly differ. There is no "average American" when you think about it. We live in a huge country with major differences.

The ONLY time the majority comes together and thinks as one is during times of war (or the prelude to war). As soon as that's over we go back and resume our dislike for the rest of society that differs from our area.

I actually have nipples. Two of them. Come to think of it, so do you. However mine are attached to breasts and are therefore probably more interesting. Nipples don't scare me.

I'm a supersnob who likes art films and enjoys mocking idiots on IMDb. I think watching any film that has "fast" or "furious" in the title robs people of brain cells. Generally, when people call any movie "stupid" I assume it can be translated to "I didn't get it" (unless it has Mark Wahlberg in it, in which case it probably is stupid). I'm also the *beep* who thinks spelling and grammar say a lot about a poster. In other words, I'm not uncommon, but I'm probably not typical. I have no clear idea what a typical American is, but I probably don't like them much. I'm unpleasant that way.

HOWEVER I thought this film was hilarious. Dumb, yes. But also hilarious. Maybe it was the cold medicine. Or maybe it's just a comedy that didn't require anyone to vomit or motorboat fake tits to be funny. Maybe it's just an off-beat, fun little flick. Who knows.

Or maybe I'm more typical than I think. Maybe I should put on a thicker bra to hide my nipples and go punch a puppy.

Movies are IQ tests; the IMDB boards are how people broadcast their score.
