The chemistry between Logan and Professor X is Gold.

Just saw it again, with someone who had never seen it. Really enjoyed these two onscreen together. This was their best work, they went out on a high note.

The girl was very well cast too, she fit in impressively.

Watching it a second time, I kind of broke the movie down into 5 sections as I watched it:

1. Limo driver / The Desert Hideout - This was great. Logan destroying the cholos at the very beginning next to his limo was amazing.

2. On the run / The Casino/Hotel - incredible sequence. My favorite part of the movie.

3. On the run / Black family - not bad. some good moments.

4. On the run / Logan & the Girl - not bad. some good moments.

5. Canada Border / Showdown - okay

All in all, the film peaks a bit early / near the middle, and then tapers off rather sharply. The last 40 minutes or so are the weakest part.

Overall, a very good film, and quite a nice swan song for these characters. Surprisingly good for a comic book adaptation movie.

Aside from the great chemistry, it was also immensely satisfying to finally see Wolverine action as it really would be: brutal, visceral, harshly violent. Like an animal attack.
