Do you think there are executives thinking PG-13

Do you think there are people who have financial interest in this movie (Fox executives, etc) that believe something like: 'I wish we had done it PG-13 like the Nolan Batman movies and instead of 200 million in the US we would have made 500 million!"

I personally loved Logan, my favorite X-Men movie, wish this had been the beginning of a Logan trilogy instead of a one-off.

Of course. Greed knows no bounds.

About Logan trilogy, isn't this supposed to be Hugh Jackman's last portrayal as Wolverine?

reply

Yes it is his last portrayal... I *wish* it had been the beginning of something under this same universe-tone-characters instead... I do think they could come up with a way to revive him, but unlikely to happen.

reply

Ha! Let 'em do young Jackman CGI as The Wolverine!

Hugh jackman has said that if the executives had made a deal to place him in the marvel universe with hulk and iron man he would have considered continuing. He also said if fox had done Deadpool the right way ten years ago he would have considered continuing. Fox is happy if it makes a profit. Period. That is what they've shown us for twenty years. I don't think they are worried about the difference in what might have been or might not have been. I think they are golfing and yachting in Aruba. warner brothers and Disney are much more serious and much more enormous companies. Jackman will not outright say it, but it's all between the lines in his interviews. He can't really complain he got filthy rich by being fox only focus for two decades
